About
CommunityDays.org

Our site is dedicated to the volunteer community organizers around the world who give countless hours to host free-to-attendee technical training events. Built upon the original innovations of the SharePoint Saturday not-for-profit team, Community Days represents our industry moving forward to embrace other technologies in this model from Power Platform to Azure to the breadth of Microsoft 365. Anyone can host a community day on any topic relevant to our broad industry, and we are here to help.

Learn more about the broader Microsoft Community so that you can expand your skills, meet people on the same journey and solve issues as they arise.

The idea for this site came about shortly after the closure of SPSEvents.org was announced. In November '21, Jason Rivera, Manpreet Singh and Thomas Daly were discussing the importance of SPSEvents.org after the closing session of the Virtual Microsoft 365 Philly Event. During that call, the Tri-State community team decided that a site like this was critical for our community to continue to host and find events. This site was designed and built by Thomas Daly, a Microsoft 365 Apps & Services MVP, founder of SharePoint Saturday New York Metro and a Microsoft 365 Developer & Solutions Architect. Tom has long been a speaker on key topics including SharePoint, Office developer topics and more. He brings his years of experience and passion for community together in this volunteer project to benefit the community.

This site is supported operationally by the Microsoft Global Community Initiative Advisory Board and Steering Committee.

The site could not have been made possible without the help of volunteers. Below is our group of individuals that have offered their time to be part of the design, creation and testing of various parts of this website. If you are interested in helping out, please reach out to us. There is no contribution too small.
